Tiktok for business

Most of us might have heard about TikTok but quite a number of people will have no idea about what TikTok is; so, let’s have a short brief on TikTok before jumping into the topic.

What is TikTok?

TikTok is originally a Chinese social media video app, which was launched in 2017 by ByteDance, a Beijing-based company in both iOS and Android, for creating and sharing short lip-sync, comedy and talent videos with lenses, filters, sound bites and augmented reality features. It allows its users to create short music and lip-sync videos of 3 to 15 seconds and short looping videos of 3 to 60 seconds. Like most other online platforms, the application allows users to gain followers, receive likes and get their video featured on the app to get even more exposure and increase their popularity.

  • 66% of the total TikTok population are Gen Z(below 30 years). Generation Z are the generation of people born in the late 1990s and early 2000s
